"2011" U.S. Solheim Cup Team Captain

The LPGA announced today that 7 time Solheim Cup Player Rosie Jones has been selected as The United States Captain for the 2011 Solheim Cup competitions at Killeen Castle, Ireland, September 23-25! Rosie will lean on the experience from her 25 years on tour, 7 Solheim Cups and 13 LPGA Tournament Wins as she leads her team into battle at the 12th staging of the event in County Meath, Ireland. 

Rosie played in the inaugural Solheim Cup in 1990 at Lake Nona, Fl. as well as 6 other competitions, her last in 2005 under Captain Nancy Lopez at Crooked Stick, Indianapolis IN.

Captain Jones names Juli Inkster and Sherri Steinhauer as Assistant Captains!

Hall of Fame Member, and 8 time Solheim Cup Team member Juli Inkster and 4 Time solheim Cup Player Sherri Steinhauer will be at the helm as Captain Rojo's Assistant Captains. Both Assistants are still full time players on the LPGA will be rounding out the Captain Team as they plot their way to Ireland in 2011.
